Abstract Painting for Everyone – Free Event

Learn how to abstract from an object and create a painting on paper that you will mount on a wood panel and hang up the same day. All supplies included! Taught by VMFA Statewide Faculty Artist, Leigh Anne Chambers.

Fun with Pour Painting – Free Event

Learn how to create your own piece of art by playing with paint! This workshop will teach you how to create paintings from start to finish by just pouring paint. You will be surprised by the results. All supplies included! Taught by award winning VMFA Statewide Faculty Artist, Kendra Wadsworth.

Ceramic Studio Clay Classes With Jaime Kirkpatrick: Beginner & Intermediate
Tuesdays 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Fridays 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Clay techniques including pinching, coil, slab construction in functional and non-functional (abstract/sculptural) purposes will be explored, followed by wheel throwing techniques. Intermediate/advanced students will also explore the construction of lids, spouts, expanding forms, trimming and forming feet, as well as creating handles plus learn to create your own chop/stamp.
$250/8 week session
